THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

Dear Resident

You are receiving this as you live in the vicinity of a theft from motor vehicle that occurred on Huddersfield Road on Monday 27th April at 02:21hrs

On the stated date and time, a vehicle parked on a driveway was insecure due to a low key‑fob battery. A suspect entered the vehicle via the driver’s side door and removed items from inside. The suspect was disturbed and left the area.

Residents are reminded to:

Check vehicles are locked manually as well as electronically

Be aware that low key‑fob batteries may prevent vehicles from locking properly

Avoid leaving valuables inside vehicles

Report any suspicious activity immediately

Please stay vigilant and help keep our neighbourhood safe.

If you have any information in relation to the above, please contact the Police on 101 or speak to a local PCSO. Please also check your CCTV or Doorbell camera if you have one during the crime timings to see if there are any activations.

This is also a good time to check your own security; many offences are preventable with small improvements to your vehicle security.
